The Padel-London SILVER tournament returned with a bang on November 9th, 2024, hosted at the renowned Padel Hub N20. As an LTA Grade 4 event, the day was packed with thrilling matches, electric energy, and the very best of padel action, setting a new benchmark for competitive excellence.
The tournament welcomed 24 men’s and 6 women’s pairs, each vying for glory through a challenging group stage and fiercely contested elimination rounds. Players showcased remarkable skill, teamwork, and determination.
Round Robin Matches Ignite the Day
The day erupted into action with the Round Robin matches, a no-holds-barred battlefield where every game felt like a title fight.
The men’s category was split into eight groups, with intense competition as pairs threw down for a shot
at the Elimination Rounds, starting from the Round of 16.
On the women’s side, it was a two-group Round Robin, with only the top 2 teams advancing to the semi-finals,
turning every match into a fight for survival.
Men’s Final: Bowles & Middel Crowned Champions
The men’s final was a spectacle to behold. Peter Bowles & Coenie Middel faced off against the second-seeded pair,
Victor Aguirre Minarro & Glenn Niklas Johansson, in a match that will be remembered for its intensity and dramatic rallies.
Bowles & Middel, having already proven their mettle with commanding performances throughout the day, delivered a
clinical performance. With a final score of 6-4, 6-3, they claimed the championship title,
displaying strategic brilliance and unmatched composure under pressure.
Women’s Final: Pavon & Saker Shine Bright
The women’s final saw Diana Pavon & Caroline Saker take on the formidable duo of Rosanagh Robertson & Elizabeth Vellacott. Pavon & Saker demonstrated why they are a force to
be reckoned with, dominating the match with powerful serves and exceptional coordination.
They secured victory in straight sets, 4-1, 4-3, to take home the trophy.
